A century of wedding dresses

Residents at Reata Glen shared their love stories and memories of the special moment when they said, “I do.” More than 20 wedding gowns, dating back to the early 1900s, were on display at the community’s wedding dress exhibit. Residents of the community donated the gowns along with more than 100 photos, religious crowns and other memorabilia.

“We decided to display the residents’ gowns for Valentine’s Day, and they were very excited about participating in it,” Reata Glen’s Life Enrichment Director Jayne Austin told The Capistrano Dispatch.

This has been a good opportunity for residents to get out of their apartments and celebrate their neighbors’ love stories.

For the entire month of February, residents and team members enjoyed walking through the exhibit and talking about the love story each dress holds.
